Three offensive players try to work together to beat one defender in this drill. In a 3-on-1 situation, the defender should stay in the middle if the puck is in the middle. If the puck is not in the middle the defender should slightly favor the puck carrier’s side of the ice.
Players practice stickhandling while making tight turns and shooting on the move in this high-paced drill!
Players get to practice handling the puck through a variety of game-type movements.
Players practice one-touch passing in this fundamental drill. Players need to have “soft hands” otherwise the puck will shoot off their stick too quickly and won’t be accurate.
Players form two lines – one at each goal line - and skate toward each other and exchange pucks in this fundamental drill.
